Tread Rosenthal

University of Hawaiʻii at Mānoa setter Tread Rosenthal was named the Big West’s Freshman of the Week for the second time in his career after leading the Rainbow Warriors to three road victories.

Rosenthal averaged 9.82 assists per set in a pair of wins over Purdue Fort Wayne and a victory over Ball State. Rosenthal recorded 108 total assists along with four aces, 20 digs and 9 blocks.

He led the Rainbow Warriors to a team hitting percentage of .396 in the series, including .487 in the rematch with PFW.

In the beginning of the season, Rosenthal ranked No. 9 nationally in assists per set and leads the team with 13 service aces. He became the first UH true freshman to start the season at setter since 2004.
